As our first coffee festival in Dublin, we are thrilled to be joining hands with the multi-award-winning specialty coffee roastery, Bell Lane Coffee Roaster to share our coffee passion with the Irish specialty community. We've invited their team to bring you an exclusive insight into their world and talk about their authentic coffee story, sustainable practices, and everything exciting they're bringing to our first-ever Dublin Coffee Festival!
Since its founding in 2012, Bell Lane has experienced notable transformation. Our team, our focus, and our purpose have evolved. Building genuine and meaningful relationships with coffee producers has become central. These authentic connections, friendships, ensure transparency in the supply chain, trust, honest pricing, commitment to positive social impact and ultimately better-quality coffee for our customers.
Our long-term partnership with producers plays a vital role with the stability and predictability of income for their farms. Allowing them to experiment and employ sustainable farming practices and plan for future growth.
Sustainable Practices
Our commitment to sustainability extends to every aspect of our operations. In 2022, we took a significant step by investing in an IMF roaster, not just as an upgrade but as a conscious decision to align our values with our actions. The IMF reduces emissions by up to 98% compared to traditional drum roasters. Investing in sustainable technology is not just a business decision it’s a responsibility we feel towards our planet.
Partnership
A key moment in Bell Lane’s journey is its partnership with Heron Reger De Calvalho, which began in 2020. Beginning with a humble order of 3 bags, our connection with Heron has deepened each year, culminating in 640 bags in 2023, with expectations to exceed 800 bags + additional micro lots in 2024. Welcoming Heron to our Mullingar roastery last August marked a pivotal moment, connecting producer to roastery to customer. Listening to his story allowed us as roasters and wholesale partners that pour his coffee to grasp the tangible impact our partnership has on his farm, his family, and his community.

Partnering up with Dublin Coffee Festival and Cup North just clicked for us – our shared values, quality, accessibility, sustainability, and collaboration align seamlessly. For us it goes beyond being just an event; it’s an opportunity to share passions, knowledge and ultimately celebrate our growing coffee community here in Ireland.
