Meet the Competitors of DCF 2024 Extracted Development
Get ready for the most epic collaborative coffee competition at the Dublin Coffee Festival 2024 edition of Extracted Development! Picture this – barista and roaster duos, paired by the Cup North team, are geared up for a dazzling display of coffee passion this 2-3 March. Let's give a roaring welcome to the four fabulous teams from across Ireland who are ready to brew up a storm!

Competition Stage Time Across Two Days
In a nail-biting 18-minute challenge on the main stage, our competitor teams will rock three rounds: espressos, plant-based beverages, and filter coffees – all in their unique style using the exceptional coffee machines and products provided by our competition partners. Using specially chosen beans from each roaster competitor's own lineup, it's a true showcase of their coffee pride and skills. Experience Judges, with keen sensory and customer service senses, are on the scene evaluating the overall experience the competitors create. Skills Judges, eagle-eyed and ready, will assess all manner of technical skills demonstrated by the competitor duos. Plus, bonus points will be given to those that wrap up everything in 15 minutes or less! Can you sense the excitement percolating?!
And there's more! During the filter coffee round, an audience member gets to be an honorary guest judge, tasting the competition brews live on-stage! So don’t forget to bookmark their stage time, and get ready to cheer for your favourite team!
Brew Bar Slots on Each Day
Beyond the stage, you can also catch our competitors at the Extracted Development Brew Bar. With each team having an hour per day to flaunt their competition coffees, you're in for a treat! Come and try out their meticulously crafted brews, chat with the teams, and show your support. At the Brew Bar you’ll also be able to check out the competitor duo’s Environmental Checklists and find out all about where and how they took into consideration greener practises!
Plus, you’ll not only be able to taste the teams competition coffees, but also score the experience and help us award the newly added title of "Audience Favourite" to the team that comes out on top! At some point during their time on the Brew Bar, our competition teams will be visited by the Mystery Judge who will be scoring them on their customer service and their answers to a top secret question - be sure to pay the Brew Bar a visit and see if you can figure out who the Mystery Judge is…!

Who Will Be the Next Extracted Development Champion?!
On 3 March (Sunday) at 17:15, join us on the competition stage for the Prize Ceremony, where we will be announcing the winners of each competition round, the audience favourite, and the ultimate Extracted Development Champion, who will take home €1,000 (€500 for each competitor) and other exciting prizes.
